FEATURED ARTIST / JP Targete
J.P. Targete, AKA Jean Pierre Targete, was born in New York City and grew up in Miami Florida. He has been drawing and painting just about all his life, starting at age four.
His passion for fantasy and sci-fi art, comics, and films lead him to follow an artistic path and career. Through a high school art competition, J.P. won a full scholarship to The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Well known for it's high end illustration and fine art curriculums, S.V.A helped J.P. reach his goal to becoming a Fantasy illustrator.
After receiving his B.F.A in Illustration, J.P. started his professional career as a book cover illustrator at the age of 20. After creating book covers for more then 15 years, J.P. decided to pursue a career in
conceptual design in 2004. He has worked as lead conceptual designer and also Art Director for video games, commercials and Film.

In 2009, J.P. was asked by famed Costume designer Mayes C. Rubeo (Apocalypto) to work as a costume illustrator for the upcoming Pixar/Disney, John Carter of Mars.
When he is not creating fantastical themed illustrations and concepts for games and films, J.P. enjoys writing scripts and movie ideas, fishing, and spending time watching cartoons and movies with his sons Logan and Cage.
